Instructions

Cooking Turkey Teriyaki Bowls Instructions

  1. To get started, all you’re going to do is turn your Ninja Foodi saute function on.
  2. And I just set it to medium.
  3. And then we’re going to add our sauce ingredients, except for the corn starch and water, or the corn starch and the two tablespoons of water.
  4. You’ll hold those off till the end.
  5. Just throw everything else in.
  6. And we are going to bring this up to a simmer.
  7. Okay, we are just going to heat this up until the sugar is dissolved.
  8. Okay, it is simmering away and the sugar is all dissolved.
  9. Now I’m going to mix my warm water with my corn starch.
  10. Okay, that’s all mixed up.
  11. So I’m going to add it to my sauce and this will help thicken it.
  12. So I’m going to simmer it just until it’s nice and thickened, which it’s happening really quickly.
  13. And then we will remove the sauce and go ahead and make the rest of our dish.
  14. Okay, I have my sauce in a bowl and I’m just going to set it to the side.
  15. And we will go ahead and start browning our ground turkey.
  16. I am just going to brown up this ground turkey.
  17. Let’s go ahead and chop up the broccoli.
  18. You just want it chopped up nice and fine.
  19. I’m going to finish up browning the turkey meat and then we will throw it all together.
  20. Okay, I forgot to do this earlier, but I do like to add a little splash of sesame oil.
  21. So I’ll go ahead and stir that in.
  22. And then we’re going to add in our broccoli.
  23. So you’re going to add in your broccoli and then there are shredded carrots in the cabbage coleslaw mix, but I’m going to add in some more.
  24. So I’m just going to add in like a handful and a half and then I’m going to add in some of the shredded cabbage.
  25. And this is totally optional and I forgot to mention it earlier, but I really like to add in some crushed red pepper flakes.
  26. And then I will add in our sauce.
  27. Just going to give it a good mix and we’re going to let this cook until our veggies reduce down and get nice and soft.

Cooking Tips

You can definitely do this on the stove top if you don’t want to use the Ninja Foodi.

The original recipe calls for one cup of chopped broccoli, but I like to add a whole bunch.

I think it’s just a good way to get in vegetables because it’s such fine pieces of broccoli.

You can definitely make this your own and add all kinds of stuff to this.

You could add up, oops, like some shaved Brussels sprouts, just any kinds of greens, really.

Just a little bit because a little goes a long way.

You could also add in some sriracha.

Okay. The veggies are all cooked down and soft. Here is the finished product. If you try this, I would love for you to leave me a comment and let me know what you think. I will see you guys in my next one. Bye.
