Simple and Easy Casserole Recipe
Hello everyone. If you’re new here, my name is Colleen. I’m really pleased that you’ve dropped in today and I hope that you find this recipe interesting enough to stick around.

Why You’ll Love This
So today I’m going to work on a really simple and easy dish. It’s not exactly a from scratch dish. It does involve canned soups, but it makes a really interesting and delicious casserole. And we can all use another casserole in our repertoire of recipes that we have. So I think that you’ll find this one kind of interesting.

Ingredients
- 1 rotisserie chicken
- 4 cups frozen peas and carrots
- 1 can crescent rolls
- Cooking spray (original)
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated

Spoken Moment
This is something that many of you have access to and a lot of you may live in areas where it’s much cheaper than where we live. We live in a really small town in the heart of the Rockies. Tourism is quickly becoming our number one industry, which means that, you know, things here have been bumped up to reflect that. And yeah, it’s not always inexpensive to buy groceries here. In fact, it never is.
I think it’s just about time. For a new can opener. I need to replace them. Every few years. I guess. Seems like that’s what I’ve done. Maybe I just haven’t. Brought the right brand. Along the way. And I have to say. I have had this one. For quite some time. So. Maybe it’s just old age. Like the rest of us. There. We’ll get around there. I feel like only half of it’s working.

Instructions
- Get the oven set to 350 degrees.
- Get three cups of chicken off of this carcass.
- Pop the frozen peas and carrots in the microwave for maybe seven minutes while you work on getting chicken off.
- Cut the chicken into smaller pieces, maybe a little smaller than bite size even.
- Open up the crescent rolls.
- Tear them into the triangles.
- Spray a 9 by 13 inch casserole with a little cooking spray.
- Add some chicken to each crescent roll.
- Carefully roll these up, tuck the little ends in, and continue to roll all the way to the end.
- Put them into the pan.
- Sprinkle the cooked vegetables all about.
- In a bowl, mix one can of cream of mushroom soup and one can of cream of chicken soup with one cup of milk.
- Add a half a teaspoon of garlic powder and a half a teaspoon of onion powder.
- Mix it up quite well.
- Bring the dish over and get the soup mixture all over it.
- Cover it all, get it over to the edges.
- Add about a cup of cheddar cheese.
- This is going to go into the oven for 40 minutes.
- Leave it and let it set unto itself for about 10 to 15 minutes.
Cooking Tips
You could use any kind of vegetables that you want in this dish.
I just wouldn’t want it to be. Frozen still. When it went on to the dish. Because the dish isn’t in that oven. The oven that long. And. You don’t. I’m not sure that the. Vegetables would be. No thought all the way through. If. They weren’t in there long enough.
If you’re a perfectionist and you want these to be perfect. Then you’re going to take a knife. And you’re going to cut down that dotted line.
There are lots of people out there. That don’t. Like to work with canned soup. And you certainly can use. Your own. Cream soup. Mixture. In there. If you like.
Because of the soup. I am not going to add. Any more salt. To this. Until I have. You know. Mixed it up. Quite well.
If you have a block. In your fridge. And you want to use that up. By all means. Do that.
You can add different. Vegetables to it. Which would. Add a completely different. Texture to the dish. And you could certainly. Add different spices to it.
I probably. Could have even added. As much as a teaspoon. Of each of those. I only added. A half a teaspoon. Of each. So you could. Really do several things. To change this up. Change the spices. Change the vegetable.
Overall. It’s a really good dish. And. I hope that you’ve enjoyed it. Take care everyone. Bye bye.
