Ingredients

  • Beef (a 2 to 1 ratio for beef to your mild Italian sausage. Simply, if you’re using a pound of beef, you’re using a half pound of sausage. Two pounds of beef, one pound of sausage, and so on and so on and so on.)
  • Mild Italian sausage
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Marinara (a decent amount)
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Pepperoni (mini pepperonis, regular-sized pepperonis, sliced up a little bit)
  • Oregano (a little bit)
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Provolone (I personally like provolone. You don’t have to do this. It’s really not part of the recipe. I just like it this way.)

Ingredients for Stuffed Pizza Burger

Instructions

  1. I’m going to go ahead and take my beef, my sausage, and then I’m just going to salt and pepper it to add a little bit of flavor.
  2. Then we’re going to mix them together, and that’s the patty.
  3. You’re going to, you know, top and bottom. So whatever you do, you’re going to have to make an equal number.
  4. I’m going to start with some marinara.
  5. I’m going to put that in the middle.
  6. Then you’re going to add your mozzarella cheese.
  7. Put that on there.
  8. I’ve got pepperoni. I’m going to go ahead and put those on there.
  9. Top it with a little bit of oregano.
  10. And then parmesan cheese.
  11. Now after I’ve built this, I’m going to take my other patty, put it on top.
  12. Then I’m going to go ahead and seal this up.
  13. Let’s go ahead and grill it.
  14. I threw a little provolone on top.

Steps for Making Stuffed Pizza Burger

Cooking Tips

Make sure that you seal it good. You don’t want everything oozing out on the grill. You want it to cook and melt and be nice and juicy inside the burger itself. You want to make sure that it’s sealed because you don’t want anything pouring out of the burger during cooking. Once these come out, you’re going to have a dry sausage and beef patty. So make sure you go around this and make sure it’s nice and sealed.

Serving Suggestions

There’s some fresh-cut fries to go with them. I’m going to put it on a toasted bun.

This is a nice, gooey burger. It’s nice and moist. You’re not going to need a lot of toppings on it.
